Star Passport
Stars and completed lessons are saved in this browser. They are not sent to Google Analytics. Clearing browser storage removes this local history. Different devices do not share it.
Classroom play
Joining a teacher's room uses an existing room code and nickname so the teacher can see classroom progress. Room details expire after 24 hours. Existing classroom usage totals do not include student nicknames. Optional Google Analytics is separate from classroom play and teacher access.
Optional usage measurement
With permission, MeloMelo uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which lessons and steps are started or completed, whether Play Next is clicked, and whether another lesson starts in the same visit. This helps us improve the activities.
We send lesson and step identifiers, solo/classroom mode, full-play/memory-review type, a start date and lesson-transition information. We do not send names, nicknames, emails, answers, recordings, classroom codes or Star Passport totals to Analytics.
Google receives requests from your browser and processes network and device information according to its policies. Analytics can use session cookies to distinguish browsers during a visit. MeloMelo configures its Analytics cookies to expire at the end of the browser session and disables advertising personalization and Google signals in the tag. This is not anonymous in the sense of no external data processing.

Optional measurement is off by default. Only an adult using this browser for themselves, or a child's parent/legal guardian, should enable it. A classroom teacher should not enable it for a child solely because they have a Teacher Code.

You can withdraw permission here at any time. Your choice lasts 30 days on this browser. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override permission. Playing, rewards and classroom participation work either way.
Other services
Lessons embed YouTube videos and may link to other MeloMelo resources. Those services have their own privacy practices; optional Google Analytics permission does not control the lesson video player.
